Anti-roll bar linkage

Hi all,

Hoping for some advice..
My Z4 coupe just failed it's MOT on a couple of things, one of which was the rear anti roll bar linkage, I am going to do the work myself and was wondering what other parts I should take the opportunity to renew whilst I am doing the work?

Any help much appreciated.

At the rear it depends how far you want to go.....

I'd recommend the RTABs (going poly bush saves effort as it removes the need to special tools/fitting 'unstressed') but this will often need an alignment afterwards.

Diff mounts?

That sounds like your drop links

I would be buying new ones of them x2, anti roll bar bushes as you'll more than likely need them off to do the former

Thanks to all for your replies.
So I started tackling the removal of the ARB today and all has went to plan with the exception of the offside rear ARB bracket
I simply cannot seem to get any form of spanner / socket on the back of the nut. :headbang:
The nearside was not too bad but this side is a nightmare.
Any suggestions?

I use two sockets from different directions with a deep
Socket on the reverse?

@bigwinn - Thanks for reply.
No way I can get a socket on as deffo not enough depth to get the ratchet on it.
Tried a spanner, ring and open, without success.
I am struggling a bit with my dexterity as recovering from a carpal tunnel op so that does not help!
Eventually gave up last night as light ran out of battery and typically my charger is at another location .
Plus got covid so aint feeling great.
Then woke up this morning and discovered I now have trigger thumb, bloody nightmare! :x
Anyway there is some bodywork / trim I could remove to try and give myself a bit more space although the nuts are rusted to hell so may end up just getting a drill / grinder out.
The idea of doing your own work is certainly more attractive than actually doing the physical part!

On a related note have you ever used PBS bushes?
I did a quick forum search for PBS and nothing came up.
2 Poly bushes from them is £12 delivered, v about £30 for 2 of the powerflex ones.

I found that you need to be under the car rather than alongside it to get the two ratchets/sockets onto the two sides of the bolt/nut

Its deffo the only way I know without dropping the exhaust to allow better access to the area- may be worth looking at that if you deffo cant get close?

Not heard of that brand I tend to use lemforder on those-

I was under, both sides on axle stands etc.
I had a quick google of PBS and they seem to get good reviews and only £12 for the 2 so think I'm gonna give them a try.
