anti lock brake computer control module??

Anti lock break light has been coming on once in a while. Hooked up my buddies shop computer and it says that its the control module for the anti lock breaks. He looks it up and WOW!!! not a cheap part. He is not a BMW expert but says I may be able to have it re-built??
I am not too worried about it, breaks still work, but has anyone replaced this module??? and done so cheaply??

Beats the £1800 odd BMW want for a new one by a healthy chunk!
 
yep, i sold my z4 coupe because of this, was the final straw for me, but as Rich says, ECUT will rebuild for you, and even if they cant, they'll charge you £45 for the privalige of testing it :D
