Ant & Dec are on an advert, advertisng HD, at the end of the advert they get into a sports car, does anybody know what it is?

car is similar to the z4 coupe, so Jud, which came first, i guesss it was the Tvr
 
No I think the Z coupe hit the streets before the Sagaris. Sagaris was one of the last production models TVR did before the Russian bought them and fecked them over. :thumbsdown:

As for looking the same - I think the Z coupe is far more classy and obviously better made. The Sagaris has all sorts of slashes in the wings and bonnet that look really naff (IMHO). I like TVRs a lot - will have an old one one day, when I don't mind spending more time fixing it than driving it :P I think I would stay with the simpler ones with the old Rover engines rather than the AJP engined ones which are pretty specialist.
 
Nothing else like an AJP8 at full chat makes the rover based cars look/feel slow

If you don't like the slashes, the non-symetric roof and the side exit exhausts on the Sagaris you could just get a T350. Same inside as Sagaris with a smoother and arguably the prettiest shape exterior of the range. Although I still have a soft spot for the Cerbera.

the Sagaris above is a stunner and its a bit special too being a 10 plate
 
Undoubtedly the AJP cars are far faster than the Rover based Chims and Griffs. When I get a TVR it would be for a classic run around. Rover engined Tivs can be out paced by high spec saloons - both in terms of outright pace as well as handling - so it would never be for the performance, more the noise, experience and nostalgia. I would worry about the AJP6/8 engines purely because they are so specialist and over time there will be fewer and fewer folks that can deal with them.

Meanwhile I'll stick with my BEC MK - amply quick enough :D The day I can't get in it anymore is the day I get a Tiv - or a Morgan (and a cap) :wink:
 
Malman, you don't know how long I wanted a Cerbera like that, my exception would be with silver alloys. Nothing (sorry if this puts the cat amongst the pigeons) beats the beautiful rumble of the TVR V8, Munich's 6-pot sounds nice but doesn't come close in my opinion. In the end I've got the Z4 though because I believed the stereotype and was worried a TVR I'd spend more time fixing than driving.

I'm obviously wrong because of the answers above, but I'd though it was a Tuscan in the ad. Only seen the advert when Fast Forwarding through them though :-). The Sag looked a bit boy-racery to me when it first came out, with big sharp cut outs etc. Over time its grown on my though, and now I love them.

Sam proportions and body shape, but that's about it. Long bonnet, small cabin area, but I can see similarities in the overall shape.

I prefer the cleaner lines of the T350C though, but would be too scared to own one in case it ruined me financially! I love the noise though, kicks a 6-cyl BMW engine in the nuts.

Bought it with silver alloys but as part of the deal got a set of 17" RLs refurbed to gunmetal and a set of tyres - so had them fitted from the start. My first TVR (Chimaera) was the most reliable car I have ever had , it replaced a BMW 320. Over heated the day after I bought it with a dodgy fan switch not turning the rad fans on, I thought here we go TVR at its best etc. It then ran faultlessly for 3 1/2 years used all year round. You get strange looks driving round in Feb with the roof off when its snowing :rofl:

I was really unlucky with the Cerbera and had a timing chain snap. It was at 1200 RPM trundling through the tyne tunnel on a Friday night - boy was I popular :roll: - That cost me a rebuild but its pretty unusual for a chain to go at 25K miles on anything never mind a TVR.

The T350C I had an issue with a known weak bearing. Which I had done under warranty.

There is a lot of pub bollocks talked about TVRs but mostly by people that have never owned one. Yes there are some wallet munchers out there but most cars that can do North of 170 mph have the potential to bite.

Had each one 3 years or so and never regretted buying any of them. I will have another possibly a Sag or another Cerbera.

You only live once and if you always took the safe option you would never leave the house
