I still think uncoupled training is the way to go. The only reason I reapplied for run through is because they weren't certain what would happen in Scotland and I didn't want to be left out in the lurch. Turns out they're now fully committed to uncoupled training in line with the rest of the country.

I agree, competitive applications are ultimately a good thing. However it is just a bit rubbish that our jobs 'run out' so we are effectively unemployed every couple of years which just makes whole thing more unpleasant. One of the attractions to life as a doctor used to be the job security. Also makes settling down/house buying more difficult.

Nick - the run today was fantastic. The highlight of our day was certainly Nosa's new wheels - it was all Kirsty could talk about on the way home!

They make a change from the ubiquitous CSL Reps and Eggpoachers - sorry I meant Ellipsoids.
