Another Stage 3 intake thread...

Hi all, in dire need of assistance. Ive just installed the stage 3 manifold on my 06 3.0 z4, and was reading up on bimmerlabs faq page about installing the si tune, but then ran into a problem. The standard tools/ Sp Daten (whatever that is) is no longer available for download from bimmergeeks. Im not sure where else I can get whatever tools I need to install this tune, nor would I even know the process. Perhaps someone who has done this previously could give me a detailed answer. I am on a MAC by the way, however I could use a PC if totally necessary. Cheers

Have you tried asking on Bimmerpost as I think more conversions have been done in the US where you are

I can't help on this specific ask, but if you get really stuck, might be worth getting in touch with Josh at Severn Tuning - he is a wizard on BMW tuning, so may be able to offer an alternative solution.

The 2006 3.0 only comes with the 3 stage intake manifold in the UK.

Yes, US was different. In the US, 2006 MY non-M E85's were available as 3.0i and 3.0si, while the non-M E86 was 3.0si only.

USA post-facelift had the 3.0i (218hp) N52 motor option, which we didn’t get in the UK.
