Another springs thread...

So, one of my rear springs has finally snapped.

Looking at replacements - demon tweeks has eibach, H&R, and ST springs by KW. Does anyone have any experience with the ST springs? Is there any definitive answer eibach vs H&R. My car is daily driven.

I can't justify stretching to a full coilover set up at the moment

No experience with ST springs, but Eibach and H&R springs ride the same imo, a little bit harsher than oem

There is a German ebay seller doing the H&R spr8ngs for around the £150 mark. Three or us have bought from him. A lot cheaper than DT from memory.

After experiencing all 3 id have to disagree , Eibach + H&R are designed differently , Eibachs are stiffer than oem but i found H&Rs mirrored oem whilst normal driving but were stiffer in the twisties & bends , id always prefer H&Rs but the downside for me was they lowered a little too much on my 35i , i'm pretty sure forum guy Rally has just switched from Eibach to H&R on his ZMR so worth getting his thoughts

I've found eibachs to be less crashy over bumps and ridges, than oem, but the general ride is a little bit more agitated (or sporty depending on your point of view). There's noticeably less roll in the corners and on balance I'd say they were an improvement- especially in the looks dept. No experience of h&r, but here's a comparison photo. Car on the left is on h&r, mine on the right on eibachs

As you write in this section I assume its a M?
Then I’d deffo go for Eibach Pro. Cheap & much more comfortable.

Yeah I think it's probably an assumption too far to say that eibach vs h&r spring rates / ride height have equivalently the same difference between the different platforms, given this in the M section maybe let's restrict the replies as such....
One bonus of moving to eibach springs is that you can if you like upgrade the dampers at some later point with bilstein B6 which in effect creates the B12 kit.
