Another set of cracked 296 alloys

Its such a shame as these really are lovely wheels, that diamond cut face in the sun is stunning. They can be repaired but I don't trust repairs.

Given how easily these wheel crack (I know!), then I would expect them to be fine. In any case it looks like 2 good wheels with tyres and 2 cracked ones. The 2 good ones must be worth £300.
 
Yeah, not a bad price for the tyres alone. One of my rear 296 alloys cracked 3 days after my warranty expired (just my luck!). I took it in to a BMW dealer and they said as a guesture of goodwill they would go 50/50 on the cost of a new wheel. So perhaps they are starting to realise that it's a design fault. I mean, how the hell do you crack a REAR alloy?!
 
They will never ever admit it's a design fault.....I have had 7 alloys crack in 2 years, and two of those are 326 M Sports....

Car went in for MOT today and took out 4th year warranty, but alloys not covered under warranty.....oh well

Before I got the 313's, I'd considered having mine refurbed in a darker colour to really set off the diamond cut face .. ala Mille Miglior special edition model;

I emailed the seller of the eBay set and he said - 'Hi
Just taken a photo of the tread... Don't have a tread gauge but the front tyres are basically brand new, all the tyres have plenty of miles left in them.
If you give me your email I will send you some photos if that helps.
