Another roof problem

Hi.
I had the roof motor replaced June/July last year. Was a genuine BMW part but I took it to my usual garage to get the job done. Took him a full day but all was well. Roof has stopped again. It lowers the windows & unlatches but that's it. Then trying to close locks up the latches & puts the windows back up. I've tried fuses and shelf switch but no change.

Rather than take it back to him maybe I should try one of the guys on this forum who specialise in motor replacement/relocation.
Can you tell me who's the nearest to me? I'm in Peterborough

It's probably sitting in a housing full of water. I can fix that in about 45 mins for you without any new parts.

Take the time and visit "ducklakeview" in St Helens. He will have your roof working in 45 minutes.
He fixed my roof failure 4 weeks of ownership. He is right in what he says 45 minutes.
 
Second that. You won't find anyone better and more able to help you and without breaking the bank.
 
Sorted Tony's car for him today. He bought a compete hydro unit from BMW that fitted about 2 years ago. It was in a sorry state. Luckily he managed to wangle a warranty replacement, so the new shiny one is now tucked away out of harms way.

Hi everyone thanks for the help! I got in touch with Bowser on here , he did a relocation and a re-ferb of the motor, did the job in under an hour absolutely over the moon can’t recommend him highly enough .. my roof and me are happy!!
