my is garaged but it is quite a tight fit so I mostly drop roof to make getting in/out out a bit easier , last night it gets to the point of roof dropping in to boot idrive boings and flashes up 'roof movement impaired' and everything stops , push button to put roof up , at first nothing happens then in about 3 jerky movements roof goes back in to position , will admit I was crapping myself , I'm guessing this isnt going to be good and my days of a rattle free car are over , booked in for Monday , just as well theres no sunshine :headbang:

Mine did that once and there was the wife's hand bag down the side of the boot cover thingy!! :headbang:

Needless to say she had to wear heavy make up the next day

Yep I'd double check nothing has fallen/dropped into the sides near where the cast roof movement arms fall into the boot space either side. You'd look a bit of a plonker if they pass you a hat or whatever that's fouled the mechanism.

No its completely empty i have rechecked twice now , thing is im a bit nervous about retrying it because of the way it stuck then came back up in a artharitic fashion , the dealer is 40 miles away

Then yes don't force anything and have them look at it. Let us know how you get on. Hopefully its just a one off.

Yes it was a faulty sensor replaced under warranty , dealer said it was the second car they had done in 3 months
