Another rocker gasket question...

I bought this a while ago... only opened this week to fit but find this inside... wrong part? or have i ordered wrong.
original advert and confirmation of fitting. Should of searched with the oem number?

It's a different colour, looks to be the same shape.

If your engine is black cover- it’s a thin rubber gasket

If it’s the silver top it’s a coloured (usually terracotta, sometimes green) metal gasket

Well I've learned something, ta!
Which means I was lucky yesterday as I'd ordered the rubber version for a 'customer' and he turned up with a black one.

@bigwinn - after ages trying to feed the cover back in under the loom without the gasket falling out, is the silver top one easier to install without six extra hands?

I always use very small dabs of the stuff used on the half moons on an m54 to hold it in place

But the metal ones are much easier

It's a silver top. I have a terra cotta on the car which I always presumed was not metal as it gives the impression of being of thicker material judging by the exposed edges that can be seen..
The green one supplied is very thin...
intrigued to know why two colours though!! ... the terracotta gives a great 'pre warning' that it is leaking visually... the green would not.
If the consensus green is good to go.. I'll proceed.
I don't like green, I ordered a brown one ....
