Im hoping to venture down to the Alps again this year but instead of sticking to France I'm considering traveling through Southern Germany, Switzerland and Northern Italy as well. :driving:
Any suggestions of good routes would be appreciated

The Vosges en-route is worth a visit. Hotel Des Bains in Gerardmer is a decent stopover, with secure parking, with decent bars and restaurants nearby. The following morning and within 10 minutes you're into mountain passes, then a short blast to the Black Forest.

Get off at Calais, hang a left through Holland and Belgium, onto the Black Forest, b48 and b500 (best roads in Germany bar none) into Switzerland via Lucerne onto the St Gotthard Pass, drop down into Northern Italy and finish off in Como.

Head to spa on route and enjoy a few laps? :driving:
I’ve never been on a track so it’s tempting but I don’t fancy the idea of being taken out by another car

Dont stay in Gerardmer on a Monday every where closes as each village take it in turns through the Grand Ballon to shut down.
