Hi all,
After my wheels came back from being redurbed I asked the detailer to put my spacers on for me.
All went on ok, nice snug fit on the hub and they look great.
However, when I went to drive away, there was a noisy metallic clanging noise coming from the front. I pulled up and we checked the car. It appears that the cover/guard for the break disc was catching/rubbing on every rotation on the drivers side. We bent it back slightly and the noise stopped. We tested the car, took the wheel back off, put it on again and all seemed ok. I drove it home, fine and it was ok on the way to work this morning. I just wondered whether anyone has suffered something similar or can explain this any more to me.
Also, as I've used longer bolts there is now no locking wheel nut. Can I purchase a longer bolt that has a locking nut? Whilst MV2's are hardly high end desirable wheels, I'd rather not come back to my car and find it on bricks.
Thanks in advance.
