Another Poorboys wheel sealer convert

A few days ago i thought that it was time i had all the wheels off of my Zed and give them some love and attention before they got ingrained with brake dust and crud. She has only covered 7k miles or so, so i thought it well worth while.

Today is the first chance i have had to rinse off the wheels after a few hundred miles.

The result is very pleasing and i'm happy to recommend the product to all.

I followed the instruction on the product to the letter. it was a balls aching job to say the least! :

They look brilliant, well done!
I can see two things wrong in your picture unfortunately. That tax disc holder :o and the whip.

Carol, after 8 years of owning a Z4 E85 and having done all of the usual mods and a few more "significant" mods, i thought i would leave this one stock for a while........

PS it was everything from tyres, anti roll bars, brakes, chip, exhaust etc, etc,

although i did fit the roof module which was easy and works very well!

Did all the brake dust come off OK before you applied the sealant?

On my last car the brake dust had already starting eating into the wheels by that mileage.

Sounds like it is well worth the effort of putting it on though.

yep, the wheels were in pretty good condition with very little damage from brake dust. I think thats why i went the extra mile and spent the 3 hours or so doing them

Good to know.

3 hours :o

But you will make that time back by them being much easier to clean.

I recon it was 3 hours. each wheel off, clean wheel, polish with normal polish like Autoglym resin, buff off, then 2 coats of Poorboys with a buff in-between. Then put the wheels back on. its a long job and hurts your fingers!

Hurts your fingers and balls ache - whatever have you been doing :D

Looking good though - must show me that beast sometime.

Sorry PVR must stop mixing my metaphors!

She is a beauty, and we'll have to meet up some time. :D
