I'll try not to lose the screws or the rubber bung. Hope to have them in Friday pm, no more bottles of coke rolling round on the passenger seat.

Got any pictures of where/how you're fitting these cup holders? Only got my Z4 on Saturday - have my first of many long weekly journeys from the Midlands to Bristol tomorrow and am not looking forward to the trip minus my flask of coffee as I have nowhere to stick it!! Am desperate to get a cupholder in there somehow!! :driving:

Be really careful of the bung - I thought it was rubber, it is actually a plastic cap on the screw so can really ping off when you get a wee screw driver under it. I know, I lost one when it pinged somewhere in the garage

Jenifahaych - these are for the e85/86 Z4, not your e89. Not sure how you do cup holders in one of them, but you could search in the e89 specific part of the forum

Hi please enlighten me.

I have these, and I assume they are standard on every car?

Why the fuss?

Nope, I think they're part of the extended storage pack... should be standard on every bmw tbh :(

Shawna, no they were an option.

I don't rate the E85/6 cup holders really. If you go over a pothole or manhole cover or bump in the road the drink spews out of the top of those coffee shop cardboard cups.

Jesus! Those flimsy plastic things are optional as well!!!!

I do have the extended storage in mine yes.

Never thought the cupholders were optional though.

Not much used going in a corner at 90mph lifting, dropping to third then second, heel and toe and flat out on third........
