Another numpty newbie question!!!!

Apologies in advance for the numptiness! All this BMW shennanigans I can't get my head round!

So I've got a 2L 2006 Z4 roadster.

Questions are....................................

1. I seen someone post that they had found through some web site what options came with their car when originally purchased. Any links for the web site?
2. I have noticed some Z4s have orange indicators/ orange in the rear lights/ orange on the front bumpers. Mine are all clear, is this specification related or some previous owner changing the look?
3. Finally I have heated leather seats with the centre part being pitted (if you know what I mean). What can I use to clean that part as I don't want to fire in with a wet scrubbing brush only to feck up the heater element or whatever. Some parts are pretty filthy - god only knows how you can go dogging in a Z4 but hey ho each to their own. (ref. previous owners!)

Cheers Ben! Now under the section "Vehicle Options" is this what came with the car as ordered brand new or just options available as mine seems to tick "most" boxes?

Ah, yeah, looks like bimmer.work is having problems... but looks like bmwvin.com is working.

Yes, everything listed under "Vehicle Options" are the options that came included with your car when new (regardless of whether paid for or inclusive)

I've now printed off the options list and have a few queries - some maybe nicked already LOL

1. S387A Wind deflector - don't have that - nicked?
2. S399A Softtop, electromech, all-autom - does this mean I can put the hood up/ down with the key?
3. S428A Warning triangle and first aid kit - where would this be stored?
4. S441A Smoker package - WTF is that????
5. S512A Rain sensor - where is that and does that work?
6. S534A Auotmatic air conditioning - how does that work?
7. S692A Preparation, BMW 6 CD changer I-bus - I imagine it was delivered with all the gear but no 6 CD changer installed?


Sorry for all the questions just want to know a bit more of my car and what is installed. TIA!
 
The roof
Press and hold the unlock button on the remote don't let go,
If nothing, put key in door lock and turn to unlock and hold this should work then try the same holding in the lock position, if it works with key in lock then it should be programmable to work from remote, but you have to press on hold the button,
If you have a gaptech fitted everything is easier

- Maybe, it's either between the seats or in the storage area under the boot lid.
2. S399A Softtop, electromech, all-autom - does this mean I can put the hood up/ down with the key?
- Apparently you can program the key to open and close the roof but you have to hold the button on the key the whole time. Mines programmed to work that way but the most I've managed to get it to do is to wind the windows down and release the latches.
3. S428A Warning triangle and first aid kit - where would this be stored?
- In the boot. I haven't got the first aid kit but my warning triangle is definitely in there next to the rear panel.
4. S441A Smoker package - WTF is that????
- It's the ash tray and cigarette lighter in the center console
5. S512A Rain sensor - where is that and does that work?
- There should be a sensor built into the rear view mirror mount, you should be able to see the lenses from the front of the car. The wiper stalk should have an Auto position to enable it.
6. S534A Auotmatic air conditioning - how does that work?
- AKA Climate Control. if you press the auto button all you need to do is set the temperature and the system will do what it needs to keep the car interior at that temperature.
7. S692A Preparation, BMW 6 CD changer I-bus - I imagine it was delivered with all the gear but no 6 CD changer installed?
- Yes, you will have the connectors behind the center console that can be used to connect a CD changer to the audio system. There are several options on the market for adding multimedia functions via this interface on the market.
 
Warning triangle
Open boot just above the carpet near your knees should be a blue iirc box , long an thin , should be in there
 
wind deflector may be on the underside of the boot..there is a storage section there
first aid kit is under passenger seat..warning triangle is in the boot...packed into the plastics look down but not at the floor of the boot you will see 2 elastic cords..unlatch them and its in there
