Well Just purchased a new to me 2003 Z4. This is my first BMW and it is replacing my motorcycle that some fine citizen decided that I needed to quit riding bikes for a while by pulling out in front of me. Two times is enough and for now I am not going to give them the third try. Thanks for all of the information and it just so happens that twelve days into my new journey I get the dreaded roof motor going out on me. :headbang: I am mechanically inclined so it looks like I will give it a go once I heal from the motorcycle crash. (again thanks for the post on the fix for this). I am trying to learn all that I can and will try to help out when I can. Will try to post a photo when I learn that pony trick.

Have you cleared out the roof drains ? Not uncommon for the motor to come back to life once dried out although this sometimes requires removal first
