Hello, I bought my used 2005, 3 liter, sport package Z4 a few months ago. I'm glad to find this forum so I can finally communicate about this wonderful car. I couldn't be happier about owning it so far. I find the longer I own it, the more I like it. I'm in norheast Ohio. Many many years ago I owned a Triumph TR7 and before that an Opel GT. Those were my only sports cars. I currently own a Kawasaki ZZR1200 sport/tourer bike that is a ton of fun too. Anyway, hello to all and I'm sure I'll be talking to ya soon. :D

Welcome. I have had a number of Triumphs over the years... all crap, but fun when they run.
Yeh, I know what you mean. Sometimes I'd be cruising down the highway with no problem at all and in an instant the motor would just shut off. Not a miss or a blurb, just stop running. After it would cool down it would fire right up and run great for days. Something in the distributor that had to be replaced. As you said, when it ran it was fun.

Welcome to the forum. you've had your Z4 for a few months and no pictures. This gives me the opportunity to do this for the first time:

This might be better.

CYCLONE2, Welcome from the East Coast! The smile will never go away :D

So is North Ohio the area where the nice buckeyes are from, or is that Southern Ohio? :poke:

Great Pic! It's not too big for a posting, just be sure if you add a pic into your signature that it is smaller (there are guidelines for recommended max size in this section).

Are you going to Homecoming on Labor Day weekend???

Hello, I'm in Northeast Ohio (Youngstown). The Buckeyes are from Columbus, pretty much in the middle of the state. I just found this site yesterday so I don't know anything about "Homecoming" yet. Where is that going to be and what's involved with that? :?

CYCLONE2,

Welcome to the forum.

I think what flyboyaj was talking about is, there is two very active Z car groups in Ohio. They are part of the ZSCCA Club. One is in the nw ( Toledo ) and one in the SW ( Cincinnati ). Here is a link: http://www.zscca.org/default.htm . Click on the State and Area Reps on the left hand side and contact one of the reps. That is if you would like to drive with other Z's.

Actually I was just poking fun. Being a native of Michigan, it's said that the northern Ohio-ians are rude (which of course is not true, just cause of the college rivalries, specifically Kent State vs. Michigan State hockey). I suppose I should have been more clear there - my bad.

Your not far from Cedar Point! I have a friend that just retired in the area just north of you.
