Good Morning everyone!!

I have been lurking on here for a while now but finally the time has come, my other half and I had "the conversation" at the weekend and I have been given the go ahead to find myself a Z4MC.

I personally have been hankering over these for a number of years now, I love the look and feel. I managed to get a drive in one last week which is what has really sealed the deal for me.

It will be our only car but that shouldn't be a problem as neither of us use a car to commute (we only do a few thousand miles a year).

Anyway, I thought I would introduce myself as I am sure I will be hanging around here a lot more as I hunt for my new car.

Cheers
Kaya!

Hi and welcome to the forum Kaya. First post since joining in 2011 must be a record. :o

Depending on your budget there have been quite a few nice //M coupes up for sale, also quite a few nice M Roadsters as well, I am of course slightly biased as they are ideal as the good weather is just around the corner :poke:

Good luck with your search and don't forget to post some pics once you find your zed

Oh Pics will be coming straight up as soon as I have found the one I want.

Yeah I started reading up a couple of years ago and never needed to post anything. Figured I should get involved now that I am going to be a true member of the club.

It will definitely be a coupe though :) just prefer the look of them.

Welcome

I love the way many of us have to have The Conversation - we've all been there, well done for succeeding !

Haha,

Yeah thanks, it went really rather well.

The fact that she hates driving the 330 might have had something to do with it I suppose.

Hi Kaya and welcome to the forum

Keep us posted with any ///MC's that take your fancy, plenty of knowledge on here :driving:

Well,

I am pleased to announce that a deal has been done and I have got myself a Zed!!!

It happens that I have done a deal with a friend who I believe is also a member on here, although I don't know his username...

Its a Saphire black Z4MC Carbon Black interior on CSLs.

On holiday at the moment so picking it up when we get back. Can't wait! I will of course get pictures up as soon as I can!

I don't know what his name is on here, but no it wasn't him. He has replaced it with a 335D coupé.

On a seperate note, just waiting confirmation that funds have transfered and then should be off to pick her up!!!

So excited, I feel like a school boy with a new fire engine! eeek! :P

:driving: :driving: :driving:

Finally got some clean pics!

Couple of questions, is there any way of turning off the really loud beep seat belt warning? (I have an intravee, not looked into what it can do too much yet).
Can it also do the 3 blink indicator thing? One push up or down and you get 3 blinks of the lights?

Cheers!

Oh and, Loving it so far! :) :driving:

(an yes I know I need to get the exhaust tips cleaned up.

I used autosol, Dremmel and for the real gummy bits on the inside tardis ( tar remover)

The process I've found to work is - after some experimentation

1. Wire wool and tardis to remove exhaust gas residue
2. Polish up with Autosol and dremmel polishing pad to shine

Still got the roof of mine to do

Just let the tar remover dissipate before you fire her up - it's flammable :!: I'm not sure what its auto ignition temp is but I wasn't going to find out

Autosol worked well on the rear boxes with the dremmel

Craig 3.0 and D6GMB gave me the dremmel handy hint at the last Scotland meet
