Afternoon...

As is customary, I thought I would introduce myself. Picking up the Z tomorrow afternoon, e89 20i sDrive M, Mineral White with Coral Red extended leather. Will mostly be a weekend car and for those North Scotland road trips (I live in both Scotland and Yorkshire - great commute).

Joined the forum in anticipation of any troubleshooting I suppose! Plus back in my teenage years, I was very much into my 'cruising' so being back on a car forum almost feels like stepping back in time.

Me - Melissa, 33. Split my time between Glasgow and Doncaster (work is back home in Scotland when I'm in the office). It was actually my intention to go for a 35i until I added up the additional running costs, insurance etc

The z will be a second car as such so hopefully, after a couple of years, we can progress to the 35...

Welcome! You can always map your 20 to give it close to the 35 power. Oh, and we love pictures of the car when you get it!

Welcome to the nuthouse!
A fine choice of car too. Don't listen to all the 6 cylinder or nothing brigade, I quite obviously believe you have made the correct decision. :D

I will get some better pictures at the weekend once he's back from the detailer. Conveniently we rent a unit to Autoglym so having the UHD Ceramic Coating applied at a deep discount

Welcome, the 18i/20i/28i is the thinking person's choice!-:) :fuelfire:

We have lots of runs and meetings that various folk organise so hopefully you'll join in on some of those. :driving:

Enjoy the car and by now we can answer most questions on these babies

Hello and welcome from another Scottish member, we’re classing you as Scottish, none of this dual nationality nonsense here

There’s a trip being organised just now that may interest you if you’re wanting the North of Scotland

https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=126181

There’s also lots of other Scottish runs organised mainly by Peter (PBondar) and Craig (Craig3.2) in the runs and events section.

Sorry, can’t hear you over the noise of my engine :poke: :fuelfire:

@Argyll Andy
I'm actually up in that area the weekend before as my charity are doing ride across Britain so my friend and I will be following their progress with the drone for some epic pics!

I will however try and join the next borders or loch lomond area cruise. My place is Scotland is en route to largs and not far from Balloch.

Lots of ones to choose from, hopefully you’ll get to attend some meets and we’ll get the weather and reasonably clear roads to enjoy our cars :driving:

Hi and welcome.

Big debate rev4 cyl v 6ctl,but each to their own.

Very nice colour combo, the White and Red go well together,a few folk on here used to have a 35i in the same combo.
Look great.

Hope to see you at some meets.
You have the best of both worlds....
Scotland and Yorkshire for excellent driving roads.

Many meets planned, from.myself and Swiftly, and others throughout the year and country.
As said,all in meets,events/Roadtrip section.

Hopefully see you at some.
Oh, there's also The National meet in The Lakes and Dales area if you search for it :driving:

Oh and I've ordered a OEM stubby. Apparently you guys seem to have a stubby/whippy thing going on

Always a stubby imo

Welcome aboard Melissa.

Make sure you drive home the long way tomorrow!

And you're right, the whippy/stubby debate is ongoing - but I don't have either.

A real life girl? On here? whatever next! Hello you'll be popular especially as nearly everybody on here is from north of the border; or Wales.
I reckon you (they) all have convertibles because of the lovely weather both these "colonies" enjoy :poke: :D

Hi and welcome from a fellow Yorkshire man :fuelfire:
The Zed looks great in white with the red leather, looking forward to some more photos once you get him home, I’m sure one day you will upgrade :D to a 6 pot 35 :driving: enjoy

Looks a very nice car. Be fun keeping that clean, but your Autoglym contact is a huge bonus for that.

Just looking at your pic and it seems covid has hit you hard
