Hi Everyone

Thanks for the add you your brilliant forum. I've skulked around in the back ground for a few month in the attempt to getting to know my toy a bit better. I bought a very cheap gun metal grey 2003 3ltr se back in June and absolutely love it. I've not had a fast car like this before as have always been into my 4x4's, but am so happy with the z4 it's awesome!! The wife likes it too, a little too much really as she drives it more that I do. :headbang: .

Its is a little annoying that she can get better fuel consumption that me, but I think i have more fun in it. :driving:

I'll pop some pictures up soon, but the car was cheap for a reason. Its a cat D wrte off and the bobywork has not be done to a great standard tbh. It's got a fsh and has done 90k, but it runs as sweet as a nut. I wasn't sure at first about buying a cat D, but I was provided with a picture of the initial damage and all that was wrong was rear qtr panel damage from a carpark bump :?

Anyway. I've not done anything to it yet, I've just used it and enjoyed it. I do plan to tidy it up, change the wheels etc next year.

thanks again for the add

Jason 41 and a half :P

Welcome along Jason. Amazing cars all year round, even with the roof down on a frosty winter's day.

Like my own car its nice to see the Zs being enjoyed at the lower end of the price spectrum , after running many weekend cars up to £14k ive realised that pricepoint has little measure on owner pleasure
Pics when you are ready will be well received

That's a great way into Zed ownership - glad you're enjoying it.

Welcome to the forum - would like to see some photos.

:driving:

Hi and welcome. Glad you have enjoyed your Zed and the forum.

The slightly dlisturbing news is that whilst skulking is perfectly fine, skulking without posting pics is rather more serious, usually limited to a few days. So pics are now overdue. We don't care how good/bad/indifferent your car may look, we just need to see it!!

Thank you all for the welcome. :D

Sorry for the late response, i've been busy at work etc. I total agree. its great in all weather and the smiles per £'s is fantastic. I just need to prize it away from the wife to get to drive in myself.

I'm based in Cullompton, and am well aware on the speed trap locations  I've not turned the traction control off yet. I'm a bit scared of the car if i'm honest lol, but i'm sure I'll find an empty carpark at some point to have a play :driving:

Unfortunalty we lost my bloody camara, so I dont have any pictures of the car at the moment, so will take some at the weekend when i wash it and post then up.

Can i asked a quick question. what wheels are the ones pictures on Mr wilks picture. I really like them. Mines got the 108 split rims on at the moment and they need a refurb, so Might look for some different ones for whe it get the body work done

Well, Hello Dolly, It so nice to have you.... ( as the song goes !)

Welcome to the forum. Cant wait to see those pics !

Hello Every one. and a massive apology for not being on for a while. over the past 4 month z4 ownership has not been an enjoyable one tbh.

I don't really have many pics of the car yet as I've not seen it very much this year :headbang:

The only pic i have of it at the moment is of is on a tow truck.

Firstly the head gasket went, then when i got it back the cam sensor pulley broke up and came up through the rocker cover, then the battery died, then one of the rear wheel bearings collapsed and i had to replace the hub as well, the one touch roof has now stopped working and now its running lumpy on idle :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

For the latest problem we have changed the cam sensors, but its still running lumpy on idle, but only once it reached operating temperature, its fine when your start it from cold.

I would really appreciate any suggestions on what this could be. Could it be the vanos seals????

best regards Dolly
