Purchased this beauty Friday and haven't stopped grinning. It's the 2003 2.5i manual and I believe has the M-Sport suspension and seats. Not 100% sure as the ride is much better than I was expecting and what I had read about. It's done 81k and has all the kit (electric heated leather, Sat Nav, etc), and is in really nice condition, and does not show it's 17 year age. It has a full service history and has only covered 8k in the last 5 years, so it needs running in. There are a few issues I knew about when I bought it and will obviously be looking to you guys for some advice. Stuff that needs doing:-
1. Passenger side electric window not working, can't here any motor noise when pressing button, could this mean a complete new regulator?
2. I get a beep beep beep continuosly when in reverse. I do have parking sensors but they seem to work ok, and produce a diiferent beep when approaching an object. Are they related?
3. 3rd brake light needs replacing, starting to pull away at the edges but you can only tell when close up, but this looks an easy fix.
4. Very slight flacking of paint around bottom of front bumper, not really a concern but may look at getting this sorted at some point.
5. One of the previous owners has vinyl wrapped the front part of the dash in carbon fibre, and is starting to peal in places, will probably remove and replace with similar wrap as it actually looks quite nice.
Absolulty loving the car, and looking forward to going to some meets when all this madness is over.
