Hi all!
Another newbe added to the list.
I live in the Netherlands near Amsterdam.
English is not my native language, so I hope you can understand most of it.
When a sentence can be understanded in 2 ways, I mean the most positive one...
Since this is a forum about cars, especially the Z4, hereby a list how I got to my Z4:
- 1988: got my licence and bought a beautifull, perfect, almost new, very cheap, rusty, wreck. A Mitsubishi Galant '81from the middle ages.
- 1990: Galant retired, but I found a extremely great, spacy and quick Ford Fiesta '81, with the large 1.1 engine wich gave me the feeling driving a powerfull V8.
- 1992: Bought a Mithubishi Colt 1.5GLXI '87 from the father of a friend of my. This one had electric mirrors and a tachometer! And both worked!!
- 1995: First company car, a killer Renault 19 '93 with an engine (so they told me).
- 1995: An extremely fast Peugeot 405diesel. At the time I did some sporting activities, so I could almost run faster.
- 1995: First brand new car: Mazda 323F 2.0 v6. Nice car for it's value.
- 1997: Honda Civic vti, reat fun.
- 1998: Peugeot 406 coupe 3.0v6, nice cruising, but roof stood in the way.
- 2001: Audi TT roadster quattro 225. Cool car or hair-dresser-car? It was a special "made-the-day-after-a-won-champions-leage-final" car.
- 2004: Mercedes SLK350. Really great car and engine. Had to by a sport-supension. Never had a problem, except for a broken engine. But MB fixed it chargeless and gave me an SL500 free for a month for compensation.
- 2007: A free company car in the Netherlands is quite expensive, so I switched to buying cars privately:
TVR Cerbera 4.8v8 '00. Great fun, when I am alone.
Maserati Spider biturbo '85. Very cheap exclusive car. Fun to drift or leaving some pimply boys with their bling-bling-Golfs behind at the stoplight.
BMW 120d '07. For when arriving is important.
- 2009: I missed the weekend-drives. Cannot be done with the TVR/Maserati. So I found a Z4 3.0 '03.

Love the Z4. Corners great. 3.0i could be a bit more powerful, but then again I should had bought a M.
Was very suprised that the radio sounds so good. Lots of sounds wich comes from everywhere.

Lots of words typed. Can imagine that no one has read them all.
Maybe pic's are better:

welcome Prutsovic

great looking aero kit on ur Z4... might not be an ///M but that kit is more unique down under

so u have DSP sound package or standard?

Thanks for welcoming me.

I have the DSP sound package.
Sounds really great, but not anymore...

I think the Z4 is basically unique down under?
Visit it several times, but have never seen one.

sure sounds like the aftermarket installers messed up ur sound... i've got stock DSP n am really happy with it 2

Z4s are not common in Australia at all. Coupes especially... I think they imported 200 into the whole country. Dealer told me about 35 M coupes. I don't mind... as u say it makes them unique :D

Welcome fellow country man

Are you also active on the dutch Z3/Z4 forum (www.z3forum.nl ) ?

I think the dutch are a bit more wise than this site, because I cannot log on to the Dutch site.
The screen tells me that an error occured, but I think it didn't accept me on purpose.
I even tried another nickname, another IP-adres, other clothes or with the fridge open, but the error remains.
I asked JP Balkende to discuss this matter with the site-owners, but it seams that I am not high on his priority-list.

So, I am not active at the Dutch version.
