Hope all is well with the family.

Thanks James. I could be tempted next year. Make sure you get in touch if you think about selling him.. Would be strange having him back. I do regret selling it. Was a real labour if love that car!!

Really? Well I guess compared to zed it's dull steering but for a motorway cruiser it's great. I'm not buying it to throw about it's far too big for that. Just want a comfortable classy outside lane cruiser with plenty of space for the family![]()
I found it very quiet to be honest but I think the facelift has acoustic glass as standard.. It's much quieter than my a3 anyway bit I would expect it to be as it's almost twice the price.
Maniac said:Sorry it probably sounded like I was bashing a car you love. I think they're stunning cars from every angle inside and out. Perhaps I drove a bad one but the steering vibrated when stationary due to the engine, it felt wooden to drive and I was really shocked at how much wind noise there was on the motorway. The version I tested was the dogs nuts spec at nearly 58 grand. Hence the disappointment. This was a few years ago now though in my relentless search for a new car (The new Merc ive ordered now fills that). So perhaps they've got on top of any issues now.

But love the new car... I am an audi convert now... Quite fancy an a4 avant as the family car.

We have just gone for another A6 avant,3 litre with the tiptronic,as I am not a fan of the Stronic box.We need the space for the dog.Ive also gone back to Ibis White,.I did think about the missano red but thought it a bit much.Congratulations I am sure you will enjoy it.
thanks.. They are massive but imposing!Bad_Pritt said:Lovely car but waaaaay too big for me![]()

my be wrong but I think he's just ticked over 60k miles, reckon that's about 4k a year in my ownership. Nearly sold a year ago but the bloke started messing about so I decided to keep...
cleaned last week...along with the workhorse seat.
gedo said:I had one for 2 years before I swapped to the M135. Was the non-Quattro 3.0 s-line in white and I loved it. Hardly any on the road back then so got lots of admiring glances (think they were admiring...)
Had a couple of wee mechanical niggles but I'm sure they are sorted now. Loads of room, plenty of oomph and the only negatives were the dodgy rear styling and lack of tailgate wiper.
I'd have another.

You could hear a pin drop in my pre-facelift A7 at and above motorway speeds and I never detected any vibration through the wheel in the 2 years I owned it so maybe you experienced a 'bad' car.
