Just love this car at MoT time. Put her in for an Inspection 1, brake fluid, valve clearance check and MoT today. Received the call just after lunch. All ready for collection. Clearances recorded on the invoice as requested. (They forgot last time). £521 well spent. :D

I'd be interested to know where you send her for the inspection 1 and MOT as I'm looking for a good place locally and I know you wouldn't trust just anyone with your "baby". I've got an inspection 1 coming up in a couple of thousand miles.

Mine flew through a couple of weeks ago, very satisfying 8)

Insp 1 and brake fluid for me in about 900 miles - our cycles are nearly synced

...and £521 is a great price !

Not sure about needing an "inspection" service when having an MOT- Duplication! I get an oil/filter change every year ( only do 4-5000 miles) without fail and just change the pollen filter myself- much cheaper!

Its like the "inspection2" rip-off, which only adds new spark plugs and air filter and people get mugged for it!

Glad your car passed its MOT- mines in 2 weeks time- that's my inspection- along with a brake fluid change as its 2 years now.

just had mine done... 2 new coils, new spark plugs, oil and filter, MOT for £270. (id already changed the air filter myself)

unfortunately, while the car is technically safe on the road, its still not running right... go full throttle and it goes into limp home mode... dodgy MAF i think, if i unplug it it works fine!

I changed my routine after the fist inspection 2. Now I am doing less miles I have switched to a service every year. Oil and brake fluid. With an inspection every 3 years. It's more than strictly required, going on milage done, but makes it easy to schedule and is probably better for the car. :D
