Looks Great, Im thinking keep it simple with the wheel colour though, and then add some nice red leather sports seats :)
 
That looks very nice but I guess I'm a little bias ! Yeah wheels are maybe a little dark.

I bought my roof from Monsoon but too far away from me to do the fitting. The new owner of mine did register on the forum but I guess it's maybe not his thing - "parapete" I think he called himself.

I think the red ( is yours actually burgundy as was mine ?) looks perfect on Sterling Grey.

Yeah it's described as Burgundy on their website :thumbsup: most likely exactly the same one as yours. Always wanted it ever since I saw your Z4 :lol:
 
I like it... As above doesnt match the wheels... And a red third brake like would tie it in....

Looks better on grey than silver too... And yours is faster.... Sorry JE :evil:

I've got the same colour car as you but thinking of replacing my old 'silver' (with a tint of mouldy green!) roof to a black one. Where can you get these roofs in good condition these days?

It is indeed Burgundy. Not Red. Never been red always been BURGUNDY.

£526.80 seems a really decent price for a new hood.

Christ, talk about throwing a hissy fit over a colour :lol: it's more red than burgundy.

I dyed my old roof burgundy before as a test and you can clearly see the colour difference.



The fitting took the company 7 hours so it's a very intensive job and not something I"d even contemplate doing! If you're a trimmer then it should be easy to do.
 
Not a hissy fit at all whatever that is. Maybe it's just the light in the picture but that looks purple. Certainly better than then burgundy colour being touted round these parts as red.

Even at £900 fitted that's still a good deal.

As there's usually some wear on the fabric where it meets the rubber when the roof is down then this looks like a great solution.
 
Yeah, my old roof fabric was completely ruined. It was that 'grey' colour that turns green over time and looks awful. I tried dyeing it black using Renovo but it leaves a crispy like finish to the fabric.

New roof was the only real solution. Glad I got red/burgundy. Saw a couple of porsche's on the trip home with the same colour soft tops and felt like I was part of an exclusive club :lol:

Earlier at work it looked purple.

How comes you are not running your LM reps anymore ? they will look great back on with the red roof

I can answer that for Ben, they're dark green.
 
The wheels? The wheels are satin black 107's. Previous owner had them refurbished. I need to get them done again as they look a bit ropey now.

Lm-r rep's have buckles and a couple of cracks, unfortunately.
