Another lap top problem!

Ok now the keyboard has packed up and so all I can use is the touch screen keypad, I may have pressed something that has hidden it accidentally but I've tried what I can see and no luck so can anyone think how I might be able to get the proper keyboard back? It's an Acer v/5.

Thanks if anyone can give me any pointers.
 
Does that keyboard work via blue tooth? I don't know that laptop but I know that the Surface uses BT to connect.
 
So you have some but no others? That sounds like a hardware issue.

Did you have those characters before you pressed FN F6?
 
Ok, s FN/F6 only locks the keyboard (and unlocks), not individual keys.

I would say it is a hardware fault then. I assume you have cold booted the system ...
 
I meant poweroff completely, not selecting the restart option as that does not reload everything.
 
Yes power off completely, tried it a few times. I guess it's a hardware issue as you say as it still has a few keys functioning.

Just watched the vid, yes looks pretty straghtforward, I'll give it a go tonight. Ideal solution if it works.
