Another Kidney Grille question!

I wanted to Matt Black my Kidney Grilles this afternoon as it seems to be a cheap easy mod.

Key words from here were "push down at the bottom and the top will easily prise off" or along those lines.

Now, I'm a feckin numpty when it comes to cars, so I pop open the bonnet and it looks like I have to take half the car apart and putting it back together I will be left with some extra screws.

Is this for real? Or are the accessed from the front?????????

The grilles literally pull out from the bumper. Put your fingers in between the slats (if you can) and then pulled towards you. They will come out quite easily.

Wrong way round. Push up and pull from the bottom!

Really? I thought it was push down and pull from the bottom. If you pull then they pop out I guess, maybe I’ve been doing it wrong!! :?

On a side note, has anyone done anything for securing the grills in place? I can imagine in some areas if you park the Zed up, the grills and side indicators could go walkies!

I was thinking exactly the same! Now I know how easily they pop out, its a wonder you don't see a lot of beemers without grilles.

Now I have a day of cleaning the car (in this feckin heat) getting it ready for my sons PROM tonight!
