Hi Guys,

My headlight washers don't seem to raise. I turn on the lights, and then wash the windows... I'm sure i can hear a motor going as if they are trying to pump but no movement. Am i missing something? Which lights needs to be on, surely i'm not doing something that stupid... i hope :tumbleweed:

Cheers

What is your washer level like?

I find that when mine is getting low it tends to not wash the headlights but still manage the windscreen.

Pump feed for headlights must be slightly higher than the windscreen one

Washer level first - as above. The headlight pump is mounted higher so it always leaves a reserve for the screen.

Then ensure headlights on and it will wash every 5 cycles.

If that fails pull the washer motor out of the tank and remove the glooey gunk that will be blocking the filter.

Cheers for the reply guys, appreciate it... I'm at work at the minute so can't really try what you suggested (i will later today), but would this mean the washers don't raise upon washing. Would low water level just mean they raise but don't wash, if that makes sense..

Hi Guys,

My washer fluid was very low so i topped up but still no movement :(

Possible air lock? Any other ideas? :headbang:

Iwill try your second suggestion tonight- thankyou. Where can i find the motor/filter? Do i need to remove any of the cover at the front of the engine bay?

Cheers
