Another fecking problem!

Leaving work tonight I get this on the dash:

Checked and all lights seemed ok, and angel eyes as well.

Came on and off intermittently on the 13 mile drive home.

So I'm wondering if it could be a loose connection, possibly caused from my recent pot hole adventure, although that was front left, whereas this says right.

Also, is it likely to be angel eye? Just been out and unlocked car with fob so that both halo's come on. Both halo's in each headlight come on fine.
 
It could be the connectors starting to corrode, the change in resistance can flag up the bulb out warning :?

My old E85 had the bulb issues in the boot when I bought it - a few in out twists on the connectors plus some lube & the issue never returned

You can't beat some lube and a few in out twists. :lol: :thumbsup:
 
Ooh er Matron! :lol:

OP, you're just lucky you have an E89 - my E86 doesn't tell you which bulb is out, so that's when the fun starts!

I thought they did, don't the winkers flash double time letting you know which sides out? :?

Drove to work this morning with no lights and daytime lights turned off in i-drive.

No errors.

So will turn it all back on to go home and if it happens again then I’ll swap the bulbs around to see if the problem follows the bulb etc.
 
Yeah, swapped them round earlier.

Both were working before I started but after swapping them round the bulb from the right no longer works so it is a dodgy bulb.

Not sure how much they are but might be time to get some white led ones? Which ones?
 
I put some Osram Cool Blue Intense halogen bulbs although not exactly cool white, they are 4200K they look like this:

I tried the LED bulbs but didn't like how the outer ring barely lit up and also they weren't as bright as the halogens. I've still got them maybe I'll try them again and change my mind. :-?

Gorgeous looking car!!!!

I got some led ones and despite not being happy with the fit (don’t seem to turn as much as originals when fitting them) I am more than happy with the results. To be honest, I don’t find any real problem with one ring dimmer than the other, certainly wouldn’t even know it was a potential issue if I hadn’t read it on here. Still in love with them at the moment.
