Not mine, but reminded me of the ‘black tires for sale’

Although this add is clearer :driving:

Isn’t that actually very good value??

Wheres liam with his track car? These wheels would be great. Too much for trackdays really, but a full racecar would make good use of these.

Problem with slicks is they tend to be 'all or nothing'.

Lots of grip when they're warm & sticky, but will spit you off as soon as they loose grip...with very little warning by slipping/sliding.

They'll also wear out everything else on the car much quicker...at one point (using slotted slicks) I was replacing my front EDC suspension on the M5 every year, pads lasted a day, and discs about 3 days.

Most track day organised I've been with limit full slicks to caged & harnessed cars only.

Replacing the front suspension every year!? I think i would happily lose the xx seconds per lap rather than the £xxxxx!

Does anyone know the widths and offsets of these?

BMW 270M
Front & Rear Wheels: 8Jx18 ET20

Interestingly, these can be had very reasonably brand new:

£545 for the set!

Sounds a bit tight front fitment for a Non-M coupe? Really nice wheels though, would be keen to see anyone that has these fitted and if possible how they managed to fit them on a Z4 non M coupe.

The offset doesn't quite marry up with the relatively narrow 8" wide in comparison to what other people seem to run.

No - the offset is not ideal for a non-M at all

£2k, once a year didn't sound bad in the grand scheme of things at the time, considering there was an Inspection service every 6 months, and each of the 10-12 track days I was doing as year cost about £800 in fees/insurance/tyres/pads/fuel.

I think they might even be a bit of an issue on the front of an M - 224s are 8Jx18 ET42!

But they ought to fit an E89 a treat! I recently bought a set of E89 wheels for my 3 Series and they are 8Jx17 ET29.
