Another ctek question

My ctek extension turned up today.
If i use the crocodile connector on the charging point under the bonnet.
Where would a good place be for the ground.
To the right of the charging point there looks like a ground on the bulkhead with a covered sleeve .

Also if closing the bonnet is the gap just to the side of the headlight thanks

I think there is an earthing post on the strut tower, it looks like a nut/bolt

Do you shut the bonnet.that would be better for me in my garage.is it ok with the red cover off with bonnet shut

I feed the cable to the right hand side as per the photo. I close the bonnet but don’t lock it. No problem leaving the red cover off.

If it's an E89 then there is plenty of space to feed the cable into the gap beside the nearside headlight and close the bonnet properly.

I have the same set up but was concerned that those numb crocodile clips could loosen or come off the connections on the car so I got a mobile car electrician to fit permanently the ctek lead with rings into the live and to an earth about 4 inches away. He covered the wires in convoluted tubing and the whole thing looks like it's been part of the loom for ever. I'm really pleased and it gives peace of mind.

Mine is only going into hibernation for the 1 week when I see snow men in the garden for the 1st time,. Hopefully it's a mild one again this year down south
