Which is why, when I bought my 10 plate Scudo last year I specifically went for a 2.0 120bhp one!

Is that a whole different engine?
I like the size of the van and it's practical having two side doors so I'd have another if the 2ltr is a more reliable unit

It's the Ford Duratorq unit. Good for 300k+ without a rebuild if looked after.

N47, bad news! Thanks for the link guys.

Does this Citroen 1.6 hdi issue only affect the 110hp engine? I,ve got 1.6hdi 92hp engine in a Citrien C3 which to date has been pretty good ( famous kast words!)

Sorry for the hi-jack, but did someone mention ze N47?

Maybe once, but they may have got away with it!

I had an N47-engined 123d for 6+ years from 15 miles until 81K miles when I bailed out before it crashed and burned, and before BMW got realistic about the issues! (But not before I had a new AGM battery and a new starter motor, probably the result of the stop/start malarkey)!

So I bought a Z4C as I just loved the look of them, then last year I had the N52 electric water pump failure.......OEM part is £500 + fitting!

Everything has common faults (like my E46 325ti with the banana radiator syndrome a year ago)!

I think next time I need to do more research......
