I just picked this up and was interested if anyone on here has experience with the fitting process.
I have seen a couple of YouTube videos, so I have some ideas as to what to expect. But I know there is nothing better than having a fellow Forum member to offer their experience.
It was manufactured in California and I see them come up on EBay every now and then. Typically in the $650 US$ range with a ridiculous shipping and handling charge ($400US$).
I got it as a Forfeiture to the Crown which I guess means a smuggler got caught at the border.
I like the 1M style, but I already have a Z4M Front Bumper, with my stock Facelift bumper in reserve.
So right now I'm just thinking it might be a winter project, or maybe I could swap it for something else interesting.
Unfortunately I'm located in the New World (Toronto Area) so that pretty much rules out any swap with my ancestors in Britain or Euro Forumsters.
I'm still not sure about these. I don't think they look bad, but not as good as the M front. But as they're cheaper I can see the appeal. Well and truly on the fence.
Compare.
Duraflex is inspired by the 1M and current 3/4 series front ends.
So I think it is a more modern look.
Maybe not a perfect match for a "Classic E85", but a definite improvement over stock.
That is more in line with M Sport series bumpers on the 1, 3,4&5 series.. It looks ialmost dentical to my current 520d M sport.
I like it and it would have been a bonus had they incorporated the driving/fog lights as well as the air scoops
