yeah 'cos that really showed them, didn't it...... :tumbleweed:

I think there are probably enough shot guns in Cornwall to sort this out. Shame we have to think like this though. Shows how out of touch with reality the rule makers are.

Will these make our roads safer? will there be less accidents because of them? its funny that insurance premiums keep going through the roof so you would think that accident rates have stayed the same or even increased, probably because we spend most of our time staring at the speedo and not looking where we are going.
Nothing more than a money raising exercise.

Not so sure Gary. Remember. America was a British colony. Until the British citizens there got sick and tired of being tramped on by King George VIII. The British citizens need to figure out how far you will LET the government go. Apparently you British have high tolerance for abuse. It is you the citizens that can make the change.

If I can just pick you up on one point there Bigdog, In Britain we have a monarchy, therefore we are not citizens, we are subjects :( :( :(

So sounds like a SPECS system that's more global and doesn't need camera pairing? And exactly like the sort of thing you'd need for road tolling...

And it'll do sod all for road safety because it'll still do nothing to stop tailgaters, not using mirrors, people reading the paper or doing their make up, driving drunk or too tired, rushing around and taking unecessary chances or generally not paying attention to what their doing - ie driving.

Good point. As it stands now. You and yours are being "subjected" to a fair amount of abuse. But that didn't stop the subjects in the American colonies from telling the king to take a long walk on a short pier.

Try telling the Senate and Congress to do that, you'll vanish and wake up in Guantanamo! You have the same crap situation we do, whichever bunch of power crazed morons get voted in, you're going to get screwed so bend over and brace yourself.
