Another bit of carbon?

M3 seats have fairly hefty back rests and lumbar suporrt mechanisms (As well as motors to bring the side bolsters in and out) so must be alot heavier than the M3 seats; the Z4M has a very thin, basic backrest by comparison, though they use the same base from what I can see.

I would say no to the mirrors at any price, the roof pulls off the OEM thing, especially with the CSL wheels, but the Mirrors are a touch Max Power...IMO

Err... http://www.maxpower.co.uk/article.asp?asset=5132&p=7 ;)

I'd agree that any seat from Recaro would definately save weight, but I'd disagree that the seat is the best place to save weight. I think the roof was an excellent place to start, and the higher up on the car you're saving weight, the better your car will corner.

That being said...alot of little weight savings will eventually add up and help you in a straight line :)

If I was you, I'd try a few hours in a CSL seat first (if you haven't already), it's not very comfortable and fixed at the back, only adjusts with a spanner, plus there's no height adjustment. The seats and steering are the only two things which put me off the CSL.

Sure are light though

I've already done the seats and they're perfectly comfortable. I've found no issues on long drives to the 'Ring etc (4-5 hours). I guess different people will accept different levels of comfort, but I find them fine :)

i think they look good and on thw white would work really well, though at that price i agree, maybe not ;)

just read for carbon roof thread, very impressive, would love to know the weight of the steel roof.. oh and the price ;)
