Another alarm question

My alarm keeps going off so I changed the bonnet sensor which unfortunately does not fix the problem.

I have found though that if I unplug the sensor the alarm does not go off.

I decided to use my BMW warrantee thing and they said it was the tilt sensor. I said "But it doesn't go off when I unplug the bonnet sensor"

They say it's still the tilt sensor which sounds like rubbish to me.

Are they talking pants? I just dont want to waste £100 on the excess

how much was the tilt sensor ?
 
Dont know how much the tilt sensor will be but apparently its a pain to get to so probably well over the £100 excess.

Surely if it was the tilt sensor then unplugging the bonnet sensor would not fix the problem?
