Hi, I enquired about your car before you bought it & the mot history showed failure due to cracked rear wheels... :o
Rob

She's never failed an mot let alone one with cracked wheels  Think you must be thinking of another Zee

Look at your first post when you joined, I’m pretty sure that’s the car I’m thinking of-it had personalised plates on so the mot history may not be obvious :?
Rob

Mot history isn't concealed by a private plate, this obviously wasn't the same one you saw.

I like the ones Andy (Mr Wilks) has on his car. That's what I am going to go for with none RFT's on my 35is when I have got this oil/transmission leak sorted.

I love the 326's - best looking (OEM) wheels for the E89 IMHO. Damn shame about the cracking issues

These threads will continue & circles will go round & round
Bottom line is buckles & splits can & do happen to any size & any make of wheel.
The possibilities increasing with size but more so by mileage & the actual cause being potholes or debris.
If you ran a 326 for 100k on smooth roads I doubt any would just develop splits due to poor manufacture :?

New set of staggered 19inch alloys and tyres ordered, hopefully arrive tomorrow so will fit them put some pictures up and see what you think. The cracked 326 alloy being repaired early next week and when done will put them up for sale and try and recover some of the cost of the replacements. I must remember to get some tyre weld and a 12v pump😃

Hi op
If you get new wheels, how much do you want if you sell the 3 326s that are left ? Have them on my e89 and wouldn’t mind a couple of spares if they are in good nick ( if the price is right)

Did you order them with the TMPS sensors or are you removing those from your 326's ????

The valves are rubber on the 326s that are fitted and it is a pre 2014 car so hopefully a reset is all that is needed when I do the change over to the new wheels and tyres.

Mine are rubber too, a 2013 build. Does that mean that there are no sensors in the wheels?

Yes, mines an lci sept 13 car and uses the abs reluctor rings to measure wheel rotation/tyre pressure anomaly’s

Great stuff, many thanks - mine is an LCI car too, April 2013.

Well the dirty deed has been done, new Inovit 19inch Vector alloys fitted with Toyo Proxy Sport tyres. The ride I must say is far better than the RFTs and much quieter. Cracked 326 has been repaired and with the other non cracked 326s now in the garage until I decide what to do with them. Hope you like the replacements.

Anybody got any thoughts on how much I should ask price wise for my 326 alloys. They have come off a 2013 car and covered 38k, the wheels are original and have never been refurbed. The fronts and one rear have some light kerbing but no cracks or signs of repair and would be ideal spares. The other rear is however cracked. They are fitted with legal Bridgestone RFTs.

Sold mine with the same defect for around £400 but they did have decent non rf rear tyres on
