Ive got this annoying whistle in my 2.5 Zed 2003. Its only at certain positions on the accelerator pedal on maintained speeds.

Sounds like its coming from passenger side but could be mistaken as its difficult to tell.

Anyone had this problem before or any idea what it could be?

Radio drowns it out but it can be a little annoying now I've heard it once and keep listening for it.

Cheers

Have you fitted a sound generator? If so make sure the rubber collar on the bulkhead is seated properly, else you can get a whistle.

Air leak. Likely on the induction side, a pipe or gaiter. Have someone rev the car while stationary and try and track it down in the engine bay. I've seen articles on here so a search for air leak or leak might help you.

Sound generator is a tube running from the engine air intake to the bulkhead that channels intake sound into the cabin. Check the tube's connection to the bulkhead.

The window may need slight adjustment. The procedure is in the TIS, but there is no longer an online reference and it's a bit too involved to describe well here. If you don't have a TIS copy, it's a good thing to have anyway. It's available off e-bay for a few quid.

Cheers guys, after listening just on the way home and winding windows down and up it does sound like the air intake or at least coming from over passenger side. I will check for broken, loose pipes on the air in take saturday and see what I can find.

Cheers guys!
