Annoying stickers

I was visiting my friend in Aberdeen over the weekend and whilst parked outside his house I got one of those annoying impossible to remove stickers on my window telling me not to park there again. Does anyone have a good way of removing them?

Take Naptha VM or Goo Gone or mild thinner and soak the sticker. Then take a straight edge razor and scrape it off. If it gets hard again, then dampen the area with more Naptha.

WD 40 also works and then you just wash the window. That stuff really gets rid of the stickies without the solvent effect. Goo Gone can dissolve your wax too.....

Thanks guys. I have WD40 in my garage so Ill try that first. It should really be illegal for people to stick these on your car, the Z side window is small enough withough a big sticker blocking your view. There wasnt even any signs up saying I shouldnt park in the space!

Who was it that put the sticker on and is that common? I would be very upset if anyone did that to me. If it was law enforcement wouldn’t a ticket under your wiper be sufficient?

I think its getting more common in the UK. Where I live we have allocated parking spaces and we were given stickers that are a real pain to remove to stick on cars that park in our parking spaces. I've also seen them available to people who are registered disabled so that they can stick them on cars illegal parked in disabled bays in shopping centre car parks etc.

Personally I'm all for the ones illegally parked in disabled bays, there is no excuse for that as some people genuinely need them, especially during busy hours. In my own experience when someone has parked in my space I just block them in. It doesnt take them long to call my intercom and I'll just say I'm in the shower and I'll be down in a bit to move it, 30mins of waiting around usually ensures they dont make that mistake again....in fairness to the OP its clearly signed where I live that the parking spaces are private.

As for how to remove them, I have no idea other than the ones suggested...the pack that I was given contained no removal instructions :!:

Thanks for the explanation, I understand now. Where I live you are supposed to put your car in your garage, especially over night, but many people don’t. :(

Completely agree with the disabled space thing Darren, that drives me crazy when I see that. This was a big square for residents though and there were at least 6 spaces left out of a possible 12 the whole night. My friend lives there but has no car so essentially I was using his space. It is extremely annoying, its not official just a resident with too much time (and jealousy). It is quite funny though, the Z usually gets so much attention as it is but with a great big red and white sticker on the side window it gets even more

We have reserved spots here in my area. In my little area of the complex in the afternoon there are maybe 6 spaces near my door that are open. By 3pm the number goes to zero. A good bit of people will try to take covered spots (reserved) too. I just leave a simple post it note, I don't have anything fancy.
