Annoying Rattle in Cabin

When I accelerate and gently go past 2200 RPM there is a very annoying vibrating noise coming from some where inside the cabin. Now I know this is a long shot as there could be a host of reasons for this but I was just wondering if anyone else has a similar noise at that RPM.

The only way I can describe it is like a angry bee humming for about 2 seconds. Any RPM over 2200 then it's not there... Any ideas?

Another long shot, but remember Top Gear with the Ferrari 612 - check your wipers and blades to make sure they are not bent as air flowing over them can cause them to vibrate on the screen??? Like I said just a long s**t but you never know.

Is it.......a bee!? :D

I should of seen that one coming!!! Thanks for the advice on the wipers though. I'll check them. Has anyone had vibration noises coming from the wind break?

I had the cup holder rattle too. I put a piece of rubberish trim padding, trimmed it and tacked it to the back/bottom hinge part and had it just enough to touch the side curve arm to prevent movement of the hinge piece and curved arm from rattling on each other. It was so loud at first I thought the noise was coming from the doors. Glad didn't have to take the panel off.

i get the same noise, i think it's the centre wind deflector or the ones in the roll hoops behind the seats, bloody annoying!! :headbang:

The wind deflector parts in the roll hoops are also known to rattle. I small amount of clear silicone will stop this.

i'll try that, when it stops raining.

I had an annoying rattle for ages. Thought it was a loose door card so made sure they were both pushed in fine. Still rattled... Wasn't till a few months back I figured it was the passenger side seat belt rattling in between the door and the seat!! Annoyed the hell out of me! Does it every now and again but I just pull the seat belt over the side back support and Voila! No more rattles

Yep, I discovered that one a while back along with deflectors in the rollhoops mentioned above. Cabin is remarkably quiet for a car approaching 9 years old now.
