Annoying noise from Z4 idrive monitor in the morning.

Does anyone have a solution to an annoying vibrating noise from the Idrive screen when I get in the car in the morning. The noise though tends to disappear later in the day. Watch the video and listen for yourself.

Weird. Mine doesn't do that. The sound isn't coming through the speakers is it? Sounds like something is loose although why it only happens in the morning is strange. Temperature effect which goes away as the day warms up? Hopefully you still have warranty.

My previous E89 (28i) occasionally came up with a blank red screen. Usually stopping and restarting the car fixed it, but that was annoying.

I had all sorts of rattles in cabin and somewhere behind iDrive. I sprayed every joint and around the iDrive with good quality silicon bumper spray and now all peace and quiet. Get the occasional rattle from the steering adjuster, sounds like a loose washer.
Sound travels, its not the sun visors or vanity mirror cover rattling, they being made of some cheap plastic.
Noise here seems temperature dependant.

Well the cars been back to the dealer and they agree the noise is there, they've padded around it and sprayed somewhere.. however when I got the car back the screen didn't come up or close properly and the noise is still there.. Ah well back to the dealer... If it is from the unit itself can I get them to replace the whole monitor ?

Well It seems the problems eventually been fixed, after 4 separate visits to the dealership they replaced the entire idrive screen, the technician did note that the new one is a lot tighter than the one they replace.
