Annoying drivers window

When I leave the car with the top down & locked and then come back to it the drivers windows automatically goes up as soon as I shut the door after I've sat in. This doesn't happen to the passengers window and it's as if it's a memorised setting for the drivers window only. Is there a way to get rid of this or reset it?

Try holding the button down for 10 seconds when it lowers ... then raise it and hold it for 10 seconds. BMW have told me this is how it 'learns' it's position if the car is reprogrammed ... so you have nothing to lose by trying if it has somehow forgotten where it should be ! I am unsure this will help but as I say, you lose nothing by trying :)

Unfortunately it doesn't work.

What I noticed is that the drivers front window goes up but not he back drivers window (the small one).

So basically when I walk back to a top-dropped locked car, unlock it, open the door get in and as soon as I close the door the drivers big window just goes up. Argh its so annoying since 9/10 times I drive with the roof down and leave the car parked topless.

How old is your e89?

There was a problem with early models known as 'dancing windows', a main dealer should be able to fix it. For free hopefully.

Worth a try!
