https://angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic/sat-27th-sun-28th-february/2006-bmw-z4-25i-sport/ For sale this weekend. Paint colour on the bumper and the doors looks a bit odd but a rare colour nevertheless.

Amazes me that a couple of hours work would transform the car and make it more respectable to potential bidders. I dont think that the dash has been cleaned since build.

Also only listed as a 2.5 Sport but after running through a vin it comes back as an Si

If PY is your thing, a good clean and possibly a bumper detail/repaint and it seems good value for money if anywhere towards bottom/mid estimate

Yes definitely a 2.5si. Good buy for somebody. Get the bumper colour matched and spend a day blitzing it, engine bay included.

To be fair in that colour a 2.5Si with heated M-Sport seats, rear parking sensors and MFSW it looks cheap even at the top end of their estimate.

Even if it does need a bit of love!

I was in at the top end of the reserve £3,500 - before bidding opened the auctioneer highlight an intermittent power steering fault which hadn't previously been mentioned and there was no guarantee that the roof worked.

As mentioned the hammer fell at £3,750 and buyers premium was 8% with VAT on top so it cost the winning bidder £4,860.

Reckon there's plenty of money around at the minute - loads of the lots went for more than the top estimate.

I think you were in at the top, for a 2.5 at auction, even with the rare colour. You may have dodged one there.

I see you have a Boston Green 2.8, my favourite colour in the pre-facelift wide body. I had a Mora Edition, 42k miles, sold it last year. I miss it!

Yes does kinda feel that way but it was the si model and it dead have the extended leather dash - so save any unwanted surprises it might have been a decent deal.
That said there are a couple of 3.0 si's up at the momentq with much less miles and apparently requiring no work at £7k and £8k.
