Angel eyes

Some of you may have seen the mention i made to angel eye upgrades in my last post and i thought i would share my success if anyone is interested in changing theirs. At first, i was confronted by a minefield of options for LED upgrades, so after weeding out the dross I came across a supplier in Byfleet, Surrey (not sure if i'm allowed to print their name here?) who supplied my new LED 'bulbs' (technically not bulbs but thats another matter). They are a 160W equivalent and are fault-free and worked first time! They look the nuts too! - changing the rather out-dated yellow look of the H8 bulbs to a bright crisp consistent white glow. Absolutely chuffed with the result! The only negatives in my experience were; i) dont buy cheap from Ebay as they are not what they say they are if the reviews are anything to go by. ii) you'll need to fashion a flat 'C' shaped tool to rotate the new ones into position as they are VERY tight and you need hands the size of a marmoset monkey!! I fashioned one from an old angle grinder spanner! Quietly chuffed with that too! iii) The cost may put some off. Well worth it though in my view. I will take some pics of the angel eyes post-fitting to show the difference - sadly i didn't get any before i took the H8's out but i'm sure many of you have examples of those eh? As a p.s. - i don't hold any responsibility for missing skin from knuckles or upset neighbours with any swearing!
