Hi all
New to this forum so this is my first post
Just bought a 3.0I and noticed that the angel eyes are a bit yellow
Can anyone recommend an upgrade to white.
Looked at past posts on this subject but they all seem to be a bit old
What's the latest recommendation?
Thanks
Tony

There is a cheap ish change, about £15

I got mine from HID direct on ebay I think...pic as below

Bulb and led options have been discussed to death. Use the search on the e89 section for halo/angel/led and there's loads of discussion and links.

Hi
I know this has been done to death but just wanted to know what the latest was as technology moves on and prices drop accordingly.
A link to any that work ok would be great.
Thanks again
Tony

There's a search option with informed posts and links. Why generate new posts to cover the same old topics when people won't respond that much because its already in other threads in great detail. Thank you for your over reaction however, I'm sure the forum will welcome it.

Apologies for posting on here
I'll go elsewhere where its more friendly and helpful to a new owner.
Bye

There's quite a few on ebay but from my limited experience they seem hit and miss. You need at least 20W if not more. I got these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261145149324?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

and I'm not happy with them. I think I'll go for a higher wattage.

It was not my intention to be unfriendly, it was my intention to help you by suggesting you use search rather than set off something that has already been discussed in detail. Threads exist on this topic that have a lot of opinion, many links, detail posted back on experience. It became unfriendly when another poster took exception to my post because they like you misinterpreted it. I would suggest not misinterpreting my post as the other poster did, perhaps being a touch less dramatic and using search to locate the information you need. The forum is a very friendly place and I would hate to think that your misreading of my post would put you off using it.

Agree with Maniac-he was only trying to guide you in the right (and quickest ) direction, if you stick around I am sure you will find we are a friendly crowd :)

Ooh , who stole the jam out of your doughnut?
Suck it up, Maniac was actually trying to help, stick around or go elsewhere it's your choice but this is by far the best Z4 forum out there.

Its the ONLY forum out there!

my point was its a forum...lock all the threads if you just want somebody to search and read for information....a forum should be used...people should be able to create whatever threads they want even if its been asked before.....and they shouldnt be met with non helpful answers like 'its been done to death go and do a search'
sorry but thats unhelpful and unfriendly

You've said it yourself, a forum should be used.

Given that the topic has been covered a multitude of times before, why not use other features built in to the forum (read: search function) and find the information out yourself?

Having a billion topics on which angel eye bulb should I buy renders the forum useless as those topics with other useful information become diluted with boring and mundane threads.

Just because you've been told to use the search function doesn't make it 'unhelpful and unfriendly', I'll wager you to find a more helpful z4 dedicated forum out there.

I find it useful to manually scan through all the past topics, sometimes i spot something that takes my interest like installing tweeters, which i never considered :)

If the posts and questions diddnt get repeated..there would be nothing left to discuss..to be fair..the things that where being discussed on this forum when i joined in May 2009 are still being discussed...for a new member to be bluntly told..."this has been done to death..use the search"...isnt helpful and certainly wouldnt encourage anyone to stay..new members are the life blood of this forum..its not just about getting the info (we have google for that) its about joining a welcoming community...well it is for me anyway.
