angel eyes

Perhaps try a quick search for LED or HALOS as there are a few threads on possible upgrades. None really make them that much brighter but change the colour. Only way to get much brighter lamps is on an lci car.
 
You can put bright bulbs in but it mean cutting open the bulb holder, you need to check what temp the brighter bulbs work at so you don't melt anything.
 
Got the LED's and much whiter. Had to send one type back for radio noise, the others are better but in low signal areas (around the peaks) I still get some, but they do look a lot better than the OEM yellows.

The other ones that caused me radio noise, even with the suppressor upgrade were cheaper.

Maniac, I took your advice in a previous post and fitted the new bulbs, they do look better :driving: Thanks!

Looking at the bright LEDS on the other BMW models they all seem to have a bulbous glow at the bottom of the light fitting... that doesnt look so good imo.
 
Hi all, is it LEDs that are fitted originally? I didn't think it would be with them being yellow.

I have also seen xenon bulbs available fore the angel eyes, are these not as good ?
 
Normal Halogen pre LCI. You can get the Xenon (bullshit) bulbs, which are actually mostly Halogen with blue paint on them. They work, but they're not as good IMHO as the LED lamps you can get (as I have).

does one bulb light up both rings...or do i need 4 of these in total???
