And now for something completely different...

Some of you may have noticed the change to my signature to 'A change is coming....'

Well after 5 years of happy zed ownership I was starting to feel the need for a change but I could not decide to what. We wanted something a little different and if possible a little cheaper to run and maintain.

In addition I don't like to run cars which are pretty widely seen - cars which aren't common and stand out from the crowd a little bit. The Z4 fits that bill, and I think so does it's replacement.

We weren't planning on a change quite so soon but a deal came up which we couldn't pass up.

So without further ado and as Photos speak a thousand words (or somesuch...) allow me to introduce Ruby:

Some more details if you are still reading (or if you need help with what it is):
Citroen DS3 DSport
1.6 THP 150 Engine
4 Months old Dealer Demonstrator...

Hope you like it :D

PS... Can I still come along to some meets :driving:

Is the zed going :(

Edit - now read post in full :slaphead:

I think this is the funkiest French car around right now, possibly one of the nicest small hatches on the market... and they are very individual, which I like. I'd have one if I was in the market for this size / type of car - good choice

Looks really nice in white

The smaller petrol turbo engines are pretty good these days, bet there isn't much difference in day to day driving. Everyone is driving more slowly these days, large petrol engines are a thing of the past.

Are you going to miss dropping the roof?

Hopefully you will stick around.

I test drove this and the Alfa Mito Cloverleaf (1.4 Turbo Multi-Air) and I have to say they are both pretty damn quick.

I really haven't missed the power from the zed over the weekend. In Fact I would go so far as to say this car covers the ground quicker over back roads - it flows alot better :driving:

Will I miss dropping the roof - probably, though it was never down much anyway so only a small price to pay.

Glad other people like it too :D

Oh and every intention of sticking around - you don't get rid of me that easily :D

Very nice, but why's that chock under the offside front wheel is the handbrake iffy?

all these little hot hatches are amazingly quick, in a few years our 3.0ltrs will be so slow

I like that... Is that the car that has the vertical led drl In the front bumper?

Is it a petrol or diesel.... I'm guessing with the size of the engine and it being 150bhp the 'T' in the THP stands for turbo!

not sure about the roof And wing mirrors matching the maroon looking interior thou.... IMO would look better with a black roof.

Thanks.
The chock is pre-caution after my wife's car slid down the drive in the snow last year and bent the garage door...

Yes has the LED DRL in the front bumper - you can turn them off though ;)

1.6 Petrol Turbo - same engine (though in a different state of tune) that is in the MINI Cooper S

It was actually a car with a black roof which we saw first, but that was more money and diesel with cloth black seats. It actually works better in the flesh than in pictures :D

nice one gannet  I did think of the DS3 when we were looking to change wife's car, but we went to Audi dealer before visiting Citroen and never got round to check one out in person.

looks good and I can see you still have some sort of merlot in the car (interior)

enjoy :driving:

You mean all that work I did a few weeks back was for nothing? :poke:

It sure is different 8)

How the hell did I miss this?!

Love the DS3 - if I was looking for a newish smaller car I'd take one over a Clio/Corsa/MINI etc everytime, purely because it's different. That interior just sets it off - that's brilliant :)
