Nice house and conservatory

Cheers mate - been here 30 years now though worked away from home in London for a few years and travelled daily to Winchester for 3 years - reckon we're stay put here now till we snuff it - the thought of moving again argggh !

I grew up in Winchester, but had to move towards Eastleigh as the house prices are crazy in the SO22 & SO23 postcode areas. Moved to Scotland from there 13 years ago now. Hasn't it been voted the best place to live as well recently?

Yes it is nice in Winchester and very expensive which is why I continued living on the IOW and commuted daily - one way journey consisted of 15 min drive from our village in to Cowes , 10min walk from where I parked to ferry terminal , 25 min fast ferry crossing , 10 min bus journey to Southampton Central station ,20 min train journey to Winchester Station , 15 min walk to place of work then all again in reverse each night to get home - did this for nearly 3 years

Epic travel to work but I'm sure you banked a few £££'s from the mega wages the Prison Service paid you??

Retirement = Easy life now which is well deserved so enjoy each and every day
