An expensive month!

Last week the Zed was keyed whilst on the driveway. I live in a quiet cul-de-sac so not exactly expected. They keyed the driver side rear panel - £300 to get it sprayed and re-lacquered by a reputable body shop. Labour was the bulk as I believe they removed the roof in doing it.

Just replaced all of the brake discs and pads in prep for the MOT this month as the old ones were shot - approx £230 fitting myself.Whilst doing that found a broken coil spring on the passenger side - reckon about £130 for a new pair from GSF.

Oh and tax is due this month, I'm guessing £280ish this year?

My poor wallet.

I can beat that, tax, mot, two rear coil springs, bushes all round, a window regulator and two new rear tyres. about £1050 i think all in. :( :( :(

Dude, consider yourself lucky on the tax. I pay €600 on a 2.0l here in Ireland. A 3l is a grand and the ///M is €1600!!!!

This week i have had MOT, brake fluid service, passenger seat occupancy sensor (£200 alone, outch!), brake pad sensor, new bumper/wing clips which i snapped when DIY removing the bumper and insurance due in a few weeks. £1000+ in total.

BTW isn't tax should still be £240 rather than £280?

Took mine in for brake fluid change and ending up spening £320!

Needed replacement DISA and a new pressure sensor on the DSC.

3 Tyres, £1000, 2 cracked rear alloys, I paid for one, £435

£1435!

last 2 months 1000 on tyres , 190 on springs , 230 fitting them , 98 alignment , 30 balancing , if the M carries on like this im gutted thinking of letting it go the last tyre wasnt the cars fault just my neighbours slashing it but proving it ah theres the rub ! love the new springs so i guess i shouldnt really be bitching though :driving: happy miles everyone :D

tax is now £260

just renewed mine

The thieving scum bastards, when did they do that?! :x

If only they could spend it on THE ROADS, maybe I wouldn't have to swerve around so much to miss the fecking potholes.
They are trying to force us out of our cars, but where I live there's no alternative, public transport is arse.
Ah well, I'll just have to cut back on the childrens food...

Filled the tank up with petrol and taxed it, thats enough expense for me at the moment :(

My wonderfully made Rover Steetwise 2004 that has a knackered clutch, dodgy wheel bearings, original tyre that the sidewalls look like face of the moon, wiper blades that smear and a leaky head gasket and is treated like a shed.........passed its MOT with only the need of a £25 part worn tyre.......result :D

Bad luck on the expense fornt and Vandalism.rchamp....hope u get it all sorted

Expenses just seem to hit all at once. i had spent a modest £900 over my 1st 3yrs of ownership, inc servicing/repairs/mot's,etc(i.e aprox £300 yr)..but in past 14months,i have had to renew all discs and pads(fronts twice, due to ebc discs "warping");handbrake shoes; 2 t/control sensors and a suspension link, full wheel alignment,Suspension check, etc(for brake vibration issues) and having to get front pads done again, due to overly noisy ebc redstuff pads!! and i have mot and full insp 2 service still to come in the next 2 weeks, and have bought an eibach spring kit,to be ftd,as my 3rd rear spring has snapped,in just over 4yrs :headbang: ............too much to count(but aprox £2k!!)...and i have also had an additional oil change done last yr,and have insurance and roadtax due asap :(

Still wont stop me enjoying my z though :D :driving:
