So I havent driven my Z since the weekend (Saturday)when I filled it up. I'm supposed to be giving someone a lift at 6am (in about 5hrs) so I thought I'd start it up and deice it / take it for a spin real quick ahead of the morning run... then I hit a load of issues!...
1.. the handle was frozen solid.. couldn't even move it. When i eventually cracked the mould (ice, not the handle itself) so it could move...
2.. the DOOR was suck. or shall I say frozen closed. i mean wtf... so I pulled it and wedged it in and out and got it to open...
3.. but I didn't realise the window hadn't dropped. so after starting the engine with the main key and closing the door (still not having realised the window hadn't dropped, because it was frozen in place).. i closed the door.
4.. the window was sticking out while the car was locked as it never dropped before it closed..
5.. so 15 mins later the z warmed up and I got the heaters goign on full blast. Btw the coupe's window heaters are amazing... was actually surprised/amazed at how quickly it defrosted the outside ice by heating the inside windsheild and side windows.
6.. I drive off and notice a bump feeling. my first thought was 'had the tyre frozen into an odd shape, followed by 'is there a frozen lump of ice on my tyre, followed lastly by 'is there water in my tyre thats frozen. After a little more analysis in my nearest BP garage I saw a screw in my rear driverside tyre. BOO! So I had a slow puncture from somewhere..
7.. I made my way back towards home and picked up mcdonalds.. then got tailed and followed by a group of 4 guys in a vw golf. they waited 15mins for me to get my food before tailing me and i only lost sight of them because i swerved off without indicating. saw them indicating to some back at the next road parallele to mine.
Kinda wish I'd just stayed home.. the whole ordeal cost me 2hours and I called in the youths to the police.. they thought 4 of us, 1 of him, lets nick it and go joyriding. :| so f'ing crappy...

Well hopefully you'll get the tyre repaired for little ££, no damage was done with the frozen door (in future it might be worth pouring some warm, not hot, water on the affected area?) and the blokes in the Golf don't know where you live. And in all honesty, if they followed you from Maccers they might've just been some chavs wanting to race you for slips?! Just remember, it could always be worse...! And a bonus is you've got good heaters! Hope you completed the morning run ok in the end...
